Ahmedabad: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will organise 5th Centralised Pharmacy Placement Fair on 9th and 10th April, 2016. In the Placement Fair around 104 companies will offer 700 jobs to more than 1000 students. The Placement Fair is being organised by GTU in association with Indian Drug Manufacturing Association (IDMA)-GSB, Food & Drug Control Administration (FDCA), Gujarat Ayurved Aushadh Manufacturers’ Association (GAAMA) and Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). For the first time in India, Academia – Pharmacy Industry – Regulatory body has joined hands to organise the Mega Job Fair, Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Vice Chancellor of GTU said.
Dr. Manish A. Rachchh, Head of Center of Pharmaceutical Studies and Drug Delivery Technology of GTU said that earlier there was a belief that pharma sector has less jobs than flow of students getting degree and diploma, but now situation is now changed and now more and more industries are coming to University for placement requirement and future of pharmacy will be really bright. GTU has started organizing Centralized Placement Fair for Pharmacy since 2014 and could place more than 900 students in various posts in Pharma industry. This time also all major Pharma companies like Zydus Cadila, Torrent Pharma, Intas Pharma, Amneal Pharma, Troikaa Pharma, Lincoln Pharma, Apollo Pharmacy, Planet Health, HCG and other medium as well as small companies will participate.
Dr. C.N.Patel, Dean of Pharmacy faculty and member of Pharmacy Council of India said that there are 75 pharmacy colleges affiliated with GTU. We have made lots of progress to improve the syllabus of pharmacy & added concepts like innovation council and patent. Number of students reduced since last four years, but on the other side employment opportunities have been increased.

અમદાવાદઃ ગુજરાત ટેકનોલોજીકલ યુનિવર્સિટી (જીટીયુ) તરફથી ઑગામી ૯ અને ૧૦મી એપ્રિલના રોજ પાંચમો સેન્ટ્રલાઈઝ ફાર્મસી પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેર (નોકરી ભરતી મેળો) યોજાશે. જેમાં ઑશરે ૧૦૪ કંપનીઓ એક હજાર વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ૭૦૦ નોકરી ઑફર કરશે. પહેલીવાર પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેરમાં જીટીયુને ઈન્ડિયન ડ્રગ મેન્યુફેક્ચરીંગ એસોસિયેશન, ફુડ એન્ડ ડ્રગ કંટ્રોલ એડમિનીસ્ટ્રેશન, ગુજરાત ઑયુર્વેદ ઔષધ મેન્યુફેક્ચરર્સ એસોસિયેશન અને એસોસિયેશન ઑpફ ફાર્માસ્યુટીકલ ટીચર્સ ઑફ ઈન્ડિયા જેવા સંગઠનો પણ ઑયોજનમાં સાથ ઑપી રહ્યા છે. ભારતમાં પહેલીવાર ફાર્મસી ઉદ્યોગ-શિક્ષણ અને નિયંત્રણ ઑથોરિટી એમ ત્રણેય મળીને ઑ નોકરી ભરતી મહામેળાનું ઑયોજન કરતા હોવાથી ઑ પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેર અનોખો છે, એમ જીટીયુના વાઈસ ચાન્સેલર ડૉ. અક્ષય અગ્રવાલે જણાવ્યું હતું.
જીટીયુના ફાર્મસી વિભાગના વડા ડૉ. મનિષ રાચ્છે બેઠકમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે અગાઉ એવી માન્યતા હતી કે ફાર્મસી ઉદ્યોગમાં ઉત્તીર્ણ થતાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સરખામણીએ તે ક્ષેત્રમાં નોકરીઓનું પ્રમાણ ઓછું છે, પણ હવે પરિÂસ્થતિ બદલાઈ રહી છે. વધુને વધુ ઉદ્યોગો પ્લેસમેન્ટ માટે યુનિવર્સિટી કેમ્પસમાં ઑવી રહ્યા છે. એવા સંજાગોમાં ફાર્મસીક્ષેત્રનું ભાવિ ઉજ્જવળ છે. જીટીયુ વર્ષ ૨૦૧૪થી ફાર્મસી પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેરનું ઑયોજન કરે છે. ઑ વખતે પણ ઝાયડસ કેડીલા, ટોરેન્ટ ફાર્મા, ઈન્ટાસ ફાર્મા, એમનીલ ફાર્મા, ત્રોઈકા ફાર્મા, લિંકન ફાર્મા, એપોલો ફાર્મસી, પ્લેનેટ હેલ્થ, એચસીજી જેવી મોટી કંપનીઓ, અનેક મધ્યમ કક્ષાની કંપનીઓ તેમજ અનેક નાની કંપનીઓ પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેરમાં ભાગ લઈ રહી છે.
જીટીયુના ફાર્મસી વિભાગના ડીન ડૉ. સી.એન. પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે જીટીયુ સાથે ૭૫ ફાર્મસી કૉલેજા સંકળાયેલી છે. તેઓના અભ્યાસક્રમમાં સુધારાવધારા કરવામાં ઑવ્યા છે અને તેમાં ઈનોવેશન અને પેટન્ટ જેવા કોન્સેપ્ટ ઉમેરવામાં ઑવ્યા છે.
